help with karaoke cd

i have karaoke cd's, but they dont display the words on the karafun screen. what can i do

the best method is to rip the CD's into mp3+cdg format. The best bit of Free software for this is audiograbber, it does the job and does title the tracks from Freedb - if its not on the freedb, you can actually type the titles in yourself and the other handy thing is it will also write correct id3 tags on the mp3 so karafun will list the titles correctly in the folder you've ripped the cd to.

I've never manually tried to play the discs in karafun, but I guess thats because I transfered mine all to my computer.

if they are correct cdg format disks this won't be a problem, if they are dvd karaoke, then you will need to convert the dvd to mpg, avi or wmv. Again there is plenty of decent freeware to do this with and then they should play fine within karafun as long as you have the correct codecs on the machine.
