When i encode to avi (XVID or DIVX) it is in sync on the PC but when burnt
to DVD disc to play on MPEG4 DVD player the video lags heaps
but if i re-encode first in "Virtual-Dub" or "MediaCoder" they play fine.
I know when i transfered all my Laser Discs to PC i had to capture in MPEG
instead of direct avi because the sync would be out,
then re-encoded to avi and they were fine. |

They are the same settings as when they are re-encoded in VirtualDub
or MediaCoder, and they play fine after that.
It might be the audio/video interleaving, it is set to 500 preload
and interleave every 1 frame in VirtualDub, but there is no settings in KF.

I have the same problems as reported by sorefinger. I use Karafun Studio 1.18. When I export .kfn to .avi with Uncompressed Frames (and sound PCM or MPEG Layer-3, it doesn't matter) and than convert to DivX or XviD using VirtualDubMod, on a standalone DVD player everything is fine.
But if set in Karafun Studio DivX video compression, on the DVD player the video is played about 2 times slower than it should be. What's interesting, when a soundtrack ends (and there is still video played, because it's played in a slower pace), video starts playing faster than usual about 2 times faster.
Where is the problem? |
