I just checked in the other computer where i still have vabiscos player and the midi files that are in its folder are not showing any words in its own player either.
all the kar files are working in that player just like in karafun. (well the text is the same as you know they don't use background images.)
but the only midi karaoke files i have that are the mid extenstion do not have words in any karaoke player.
all the kar extenstion files are showing words.
the sound works on the .mid and the .kar and the .kfn files.
the midi files i have used in the past to make kfn files i had gone and got the lyrics off the internet to use.
but i find the midi files never play the whole song worth of muisc or the kar files never have the proper words in them, so i use my own mp3 or ogg files and type in the words when i here them so i know they are correct in the kfn files.
as for the words not showing up from the midi files, i remember that some other karaoke programs used mid files and another database file that held the lyrics in and only showed the words when the mid was played with that program.
i use to have that program and copied the midi files. which i believe are the ones in the other computer that don't have words on.
i suggest if they want to use mid file for music then they will have to find away to parse out any words in the mid file if there are some in it.
or just use the midi file and make an kfn file with it and type in the words themselfs..
the kfn format is 100 times better then midi anyway.

Yes KaraFun can import KAR, then you can correct the lyrics and the synchros and save to KFN.
For a later release, we are working on a KAR export. |
