I have a .kfn file that I made on a WinXP machine. Plays fine there. On Windows 2000, I get the music, but no text.
If I open the .kfn file in the KaraFun Editor, the text is there in the "edit text" window, and in the timeline, but it does not show in the preview window.
My thought is that perhaps it's a colour or font issue? I just used the default Arial Font, but I did change the font size.
Any ideas what the problem could be? |

It's not a Win2000 / WinXP issue, it's a system issue.
If there is no display either the drivers are not good or the system doesn't support DirectX / Direct 3D
I've added the dxdiag part on this page:

Check and tell us. |

It does have all the requirements, DirectX, and Direct 3D acceleration, 64mb memory, etc. However, it's an Intel 810 integrated graphics chip, and other .NET software has trouble using this graphics card so I assume it's not compatible.
Some other software have a "software rendering" mode that allows them to work on older hardware. Is it possible for Karafun to add a similar mode? |
