No mic sound together with song

I tried 2 different mic's (pink mic jack and usb headset), both can record with song (you see the record levels go up and down) and after the recording I hear myself singing when I play the song again. So the mic's do work.

But I want to hear myself when I just play the song like a real karaoke works.

I searched the forum but a lot of registry changes, dell solutions, but not a clear answer. And I saw a lot of people with the same problem.

So anybody got any idea ?

I like the program...but it can be better.

I use Vista 64 bit but that can't be the problem.

i think you need the pro version of karafun studio to do that.

since this free version is not for use in public cafés or karaoke bars.

but then again if you are too close to the speakers or the speakers are too loud then your going to get feedback in the Mic and hear loud squealing in the speakers.

the only way this might work is if you have the karafun on a computer with a TV out card and have the huge flat screen hd TV set as the monitor and i mean huge because you need to be about 12 feet away from the speakers to get good sound and good volume on the speakers and you still might get feedback but not that likely when that far back.
so you will need a big room and maybe glasses to read the words from that far away from the screen.


i don't know how they get it working in the karaoke machines that you use in the house? unless they have the Mic set to maximum noise cancellation. and the equalizer set to play more from the song file then the Mic.

I have got the same problem. Is it a real karaoke when we can not hear our voice following the subtitle? Karafun is a fun recorder software, isn't it ?

as i said above it is going to be causing feedback if you are too close to the speakers.

karafun is a karaoke software program to make karaoke files with tons of new features on the karaoke file.

and play them back on your computer.

if you want to have a karaoke machine then you need to make your computer in to one, use this karafun program and player.

set up your system with a good sound card. even if you have onboard sound. get a sound card to use for karafun that way
you can send the sound through a better card for it. and get it off the mother board where it can have sound troubles. i just don't like on mother board sound. it causes too much trouble in other programs that use sound.

so get a sound card connect long speakers to it and get a long microphone. plug it in to the sound card.

put the speakers about 3 feet to the sides of the computer and about 2 feet behind the computer.

make sure the microphone is about 10 feet from the speakers.
and has a noise canceling feature to help prevent feedback.

now you need to set up karafun to use the sound card.
then you need to make sure you use the microphone on the sound jacks that are on the mother board not the sound card.

that way you will be sending the karafun sound to the card.
and the microphone to the motherboard on board sound.
that will or should make it work for you.

because now you should be able to set up your karafun player and play the kfn file. turn on the microphone mixer in the computers sound mixers and turn it up then sing away with the karafun software, but karafun does not turn on the microphone for playback, only for record, so you need to turn it on for playback.

all that is should but not for sure because anything that can go wrong will more likey do so when you don't want it too.
