It has now been over a year and I love and swear by Karafun. But still now news as to updating or putting a totally new version out there for us to search the massive amount of songs we have.
Please give us some good news. I like the wmv video files from the other site (forget the link as I can't remember it). I understand how with an awful lot of songs you can't allow us to see how you created them (heck you got to make profit somehow). but I love some of the visual backgrounds you have on songs and guess they are milkdrops etc. for those of us learning could you make those parts available to us, so it would let us see how they done for when we create our own - an example Red hot Chilli peppers - under the bridge, loved the background as it didn't totally distract singers from the lyrics.
Thanks |

they give out examples of songs to show how to do things but if you don't have the studio version you can't put video behind the lyrics.
you can make stop action images and put them back there. but that makes for lots of actions in the command line doing the editing of the kfn file. i had them every 1/4th of a second or less in one i did was a cheap way to get moving images they are not as smooth as video but can be just as fun.
also its not hard to make a wmv file if you have two computers with a usb 2 or firewire patch cord and some audio video capture software on the one computer.
and a tv out card in the other computer you then run the patch cord to the tv out card's connection cord or use that to connect it to a vcr, then use the firewire or usb 2 patch cord to connect the vcr to the other computer.
play the karafun file on the one computer and record it on the other computer, then save the file and then use windows movie maker or other video editing software to convert it to a wmv or other format for your computer.
i did that several times but stopped when they got the studio version out since it is far better to use the studio version.
but in doing that patch cord stuff i was able to put some msagent characters in front of the karafun window when playing the file and those agents looked funny in the video they were clowns playing drums and gutiars, looked like they were doing the music to the karafun file.
also did some christmas songs in wmv format but they are as said not as good compaired to what you can do with the studio version.
