Hello All,
I am very new to Karafun. I like this program so much that I loaded onto both my puters. One is a laptop running Win XP and the other is a desktop running Win Vista.
Here is the prob. I'm having. I used the Karafun editor to create a karaoke of an original song written by my sister. I managed to even put a background picture on it. I did this on my laptop. I then used my flashdrive and loaded it onto my desktop. When I try to play it on the desktop I get a message saying something about the file type. I saved it as KFN. I feel really dumb, because I know there is a simple solution.
Thanks for your helpin advance,

if you just copied the program from the xp and did not install it then the kfn format is not know by vista and there for does not know what to open it with.
so take the karafun install exe and set it up on the vista again.
see if that works.
if not then you need to go in to the computer and tell it what to open it with. you should be able to right click on the kfn file and tell vista to open it. since it dont know what to use it should give you a panel to pick a program or let it find one online.?
tell it to let you pick the program. then when it lists the programs look in the list for the karafun.exe and select it. make sure the box for always use this program is selected,
if the karafun.exe is not in the list. then you need to use the browse button and browse to it and pick it that way.
then click the okay buttons and get out of the pick a program panel you should get the karafun program up and playing the song then.
but in other programs vista has been a pain in the butt about wanting some sort of administer rights used, so maybe that is also what is going on with your system too.? i don't have vista so i don't know what those rights would be, sorry. _________________ roving cowboy / keith hall.

| thanks for your reply. Couldn't get it to work so I just used the KaraFun Editor and redid it. It works ok but now when I play it the original vocals sound like "the chipmunks". Guess I'll just have to get my sister to send me the track without the vocals. |

there is some troubles with other programs and vista also having speeded up sound. so maybe its not this program just vista. look for any vista updates that the computer might need.
find them on microsoft.com/downloads or find them at the computer manufacuters website like dell.com or the soundcards site like creative usa.com or soundblaster live.com
there has to be a fix some place for that,
sorry what i said to do did not work on your system its not all the same with every system, but it is close on alot of them.
but an over install is generaly a good cure for any program bugs if they are in the program, not all of them just a large number of them, with vista you can fix one thing in the program and get it messed up for xp. and same goes with xp you can fix it for xp and mess up vista.
they have changed the os code from xp's code when they made vista. now it is even harder to get things to work on all windows os's. and the programmers that learned xp now have to relearn vista so there might be an all vista program in the works for some time in the future i don't know when, but if i was them i would be locking this version down for xp or earlier os's only , and make a new one for vista only you can't even by a windows xp cdrom in the stores any more so it won't be long till it will be stopped by the third party programmers.
when that happens maybe the errors in programs will be fixed, by instead of mixing xp and vista code. it will be just vista code.
sorry long info on computer world stuff i'll stop now. _________________ roving cowboy / keith hall.

According to WoWhead, you only need to be level 50. The mobs are level 70, however, so you need to be really careful and have generous 70 friends to kill them and keep you alive. As a level 64 priest with a 70 pally and 70 mage, I was able to pick up enough runes for the tabard, banner trinket, cloth shoulders, and cloth gloves (46 runes in total, 56 if you include the ten needed for the first quest), loot the cloth chest piece, and get half a level of experience. The only item I can actually equip before I hit 70 is the tabard, though. It was a profitable night for everyone, and I was still able to provide decent healing at my level.

"AF1+Jordan5" also refers to a nickname for Michael Jordan
AF1+Jordan5, known colloquially as AF1+Jordan5s, Jordans, Js, or "MJs" are a brand of shoes produced by Nike, Inc which was designed for and endorsed by legendary professional basketball player, Michael Jordan. The AF1+Jordan5 line is created by Jordan Brand, a sub-division of Nike. Since its first release in 1984, there have been new designs of the shoe released each year, even after Jordan retired from basketball.
Collectors classify the AF1+Jordan5 line by release year and model: Originals (OG), Retros, Retro-pluses (Retro +), Player Exclusive (PE) and Samples. The Jordan Brand also produces a line of Team shoes, separate from the signature line of AF1+Jordan5 shoes. Every year the Jordan Brand reintroduces one signature pair of shoes that was previously created. Only one style is re-introduced per year but can be re-introduced in different color schemes. The Jordan Brand also releases shoes for only one day so that the shoe has more value and the retro idea does not fade in popularity. _________________ Nike SB DUNKS |

on the Forum - This is for Karafun and Karaoke - not for someone to sell their own goods and probably infect users machines with Viruses.
for all the genuine Karafun people out there show these people exactly that you will not tolerate this. |
