SPeaker Noise, cracking and popping

OK so when I run karafun get cracking and popping in my speakers. It appears to be the karafun software because if I play the music on Windows Media Player the noise is gone. Any ideas?

I had a similar thing happening with my karaoke system, using a laptop computer for Karafun, connected to a P.A. system.
In my case the noise was introduced by the power supply of the laptop !
An expensive wall outlet filter didn't do the trick but I bought a nice device to fix it. A "noise suppressor/isolation transformer, installed between the audio outlet cable (laptop to P.A.) Costs: 10 euro. Should be available in an electronics shop. (I bought mine in Eindhoven) It creates a separated in- and output signal loop, thus eliminating noise, and other unwanted side-effects.
