Black screen that requires karafun close open or restart to

Have been using Karafun on a Dell Win Xp system with no problem. Just bought a Dell with Vista and I have a strange problem. I have compared settings and cannot resolve. Karafun seems to work fine but if I stop and do nothing with the computer for a few minutes and come back to play a song the screen is black and the song does not run. It just sits there. Sometimes after several minutes it starts. I have compred all of the display settings with both the XP system and the Vista system. Both computers eaisly meet the software requirments. I run the karafun on the laptop screen and the video out thru an 'S" video to a small TV flatscreen. Everything is set the same on both computers. zThe other strange thing is that when I hit the play button of the stop button or the pause button on Karafun control panel the whole screen blinks black for a moment and than the program runs if the black screen does not appear. Is the a glitch with Vista. Any HELP ????????? PLEASE !!!!!!!!!

It seems to be a drivers problem.
Check if your graphic card drivers are updated and OK.

Thanks for the suggestion but it did not work. Still the same issues. Any more suggestion?

Could it be a screensaver problem ? Some drivers do not handle well the 3d rendering context switching.
