I have a problem with synchronization of the song and the recorded voice (voice runs faster).
This raised the following request: can you make KaraFun record SONG and VOICE in one WAV file? I see no reason to keep them separated anyway ... |

KaraFun Studio does this
http://www.karafun.com/karaoketowavaudiocd_en.html
And the next KaraFun Studio release (coming in a few days) will be able to export to WAV with much simplicity and also to WMA (windows compression). |

Thanx for the reply.
It looks like Studio can CREATE a wav from song & voice AFTER the voice is recorded. This probably does not solve my synchronisation problem: song and voice don't run at the same speed during playback. They start in sync, but the time difference increases during playback. This makes the voice recording feature rather useless and stops me from buying anything yet.
My suggestion was to include the song into the voice recording from the beginning (as an option?), i.e. when recording the voice for the first time. This way there would be no synchronisation problems ...
As I see in the forum there are more people experiencing sync problems! |

I hope the next version (out in a few days) will solve your sync problem.
From our side, with all our PCs, it's impossible to reproduce this sync problem. |

Thank you for the reply.
Actually i'm not able to record music and voice togheter. I have buy the "studio" version being sure to have this option but perhaps i'm in fault doing something.
The .wav generated is only the voice part.
I'm doing something wrong or i have to wait for the new version ?
Thank you in advance for your reply. |

|

Can I raise the original question of this topic once again: would it be possible to make KaraFun so, that when recording the voice the music is mixed in while recording? The result of the recording would be one file, music and voice combined.
This way there would be no synchronisation problem. |

This may be a driver error, where the recording frequency stated by the driver isn't quite right, hence the increasing delay.
Have you made sure your audio drivers are up-to-date ? |

I am having the same synchronization problem described above. By the end of a song the words have drifted significantly. I checked my drivers and they are up to date, and certainly everything is fast enough. For we with this type of problem, perhaps you can give us a frequency tweaker thig-a-ma-bob

I'm having the same problem on both of my PCs; one is a Gateway Performance Series 1300 and the other is a Dell Inspiron B130. These are pretty standard computers with processors in the 1500 range and 750 and 1 GB RAM respectively. If you can't reproduce the problem on your end I would suggest you try a few PCs not made in the last year; apparently this program must be crippled to many thousands if not most of the general population as far as trying to record their voice and play it back so you might even visit a couple users or download their data/recordings to try to stamp this out once and for all. Either recording both the music and voice at the same time or some way to ensure synchronization is absolutely key to making this program usable to the general public, and increasing your sales dramatically. _________________ Is this thing on? |
