| Thank you for the release of KaraFun Studio 1.10, I was excited to see the addition of the MilkDrop Visualization feature but disappointed that it appears not to work correctly with *.kar MIDI files. With a *.kar MIDI file the pulsing to the beat of the music does not work (on my computer anyway). I can get this to work when using WinAmp 2.78c if I configure the Input Plug-in “Winamp2 MIDI plugin v2.6e [in.midi.dll]” and under the Output tab put a check by the “Sample data (for VIS) from:” and select my soundcard. Another possible bug is when I Export to a WMV video file from a CDG+MP3 that uses a *.kfp Karaoke background that has a MilkDrop visualization included in it, the pulsing to the beat of the music does not work there either. It does work correctly if I Export the video as a uncompresssed AVI file with PCM audio. On the upside thanks for adding the Wave audio support and including the 48Hz sampling frequency. I also noticed that the problem of selecting other applications\folders while a song is playing with the TV selected as an Output monitor has been corrected. It does not now cause the problems that it did before, good job. I would have liked to have seen the Camcorder\Webcam background support in this update, but you can’t always get what you want. Thanks again for updating the program and adding some new features! |

You're right for the milkdrop with MIDI.
One solution is to select a random input in the editor with the KFP file. Maybe not so good... but it works.
Anyway, KaraFun is much oriented audio rather than midi, even if it can play midi files very well.
You're also right about the issue when working with 2 monitors.
But to get it work, you have to select "Current settings" as output resolution.
If you set a specific resolution, you'll have the same problem when KaraFun will loose the focus. It's a windows limitation, we can't do more about that! |
