Presets backgrounds are not displayed

Hello

Somebody could help me with a problem that I have with KaraFun 1.01b that I download from here.

I tried to use it to play KAR files and MP3+CDG files and I had a little problem. With KAR files the background work very fine, but with MP3+CDG files the background did not display.

I have the same problem when I donwload the video background presets, they are not displayed.

Please, If someone has any suggestion in order to solve this little inconvenient.

If you want to play Video Karaoke Presets, you must have the right codec installed (DivX or ffdshow pack).
Check also in the display tab of the options, if (at the bottom) all is checked, and quality display (should be at 5/5)...

I firts update the Divx, and after that I increase the quality of display to 5/5 as you sugested me, but nothing happend it is the same result.

Additionally, I update my video driver and Intel 82865G with 64MB but nothing happend.

Do you another suggestion?

With Intel chipset, you may try to change the number of colors in windows screen properties.
Test 16 bits colors (65536 colors) if you are in 24/32 bits or
Test 24 bits colors (16M colors) if you are in 16 bits.
One resolution may work, we've already seen this before.
It's a DirectX problem with Intel chipset.

Firts I change the number of color from 32 to 16 bits and nothing happend but after that I update the DirectX as you suggest and update the Divx Codec and "buala" it start to work.

Now, I can see the videos that I donwload from your web site but at the begining them frozenn after a few seconds, problems that I fixed reducing my screen resolution to 640x480.

My question is the next, if the video frozen is because my computer needs more RAM memory (512 MB) or needs another graphic card with (128 or 256 MB). What do you suggest me?

The reason why it's freezing is more a graphic card problem.
In fact the Intel chipset is not very powerful and doesn't allow KaraFun to run at the good speed.
RAM and GfxRAM seems normally OK. It's difficult to say because one PC is different to another...
