|
|
Hello
I am using Karafun on an Acer Travelmate 290 with 752MB RAM XP SP2 (French version)
The Karafun Editor works fine, but the Karafun player hangs on start up. Task manager shows 100% use of processor power, and the only way out seems to be to kill the Karafun Player application, or the karafun.exe process.
Karafun player was the only application running though I do have quite a few start up processes running in the background some of which come from audio programs (Total recorder standard, iTunes). I also have NIS 2004 and GoogleDesktopCrawler running in background.
What information would you need to find out where the conflict is? |

Difficult to say...
Maybe you should wait a little at the beginning of the process in order to see if it's really stuck or if it's very long to start...
We do not know really this issue... |

| Karafun has been using 100% of my Pentium M 1.3GHz for 15 minutes now. I think I have made my point. Is there anyway I can get a list of processes into a text file so that you can see who the culprit might be? |

15 minutes... I agree, you should kill it!
It's possible to build a startup log file (for advanced users).
First solution
* Run "regedit" (windows registry editor)
* Select or create key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Recisio\KaraFun"
* Create a new string value (REG_SZ) named "ActivateLog"
* Set ActivateLog to "1"
Second solution
Another solution is to create a file name "karafun.reg" with this content:
---- CONTENTS START NEXT LINE ----
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Recisio\KaraFun]
"ActivateLog"="1"
---- CONTENTS END PREVIOUS LINE ----
Save it and double click on it!
Third solution
See advanced options in karafun.
Now, when running KaraFun, it should produce a file called "startup.log" in the same directory as the KaraFun executable file.
You can send this file to the support and we'll inspect and tell you more.
I hope this helps. |
