I really like your program and cant wait for studio version to come out, soon I hope. But I still have a couple of small problems and suggestions. When using .mid or .kar files (or .kfn built from these files), when song finishes playing I get a pop up error message :"Violation d'acces a l'adresse 6BD01F1B dans le module 'usbmn2x2.dll'. Lecture de l'adresse 00000000" Now I dont speak French but that sounds like a problem addressing my midi interface (Midiman Midisport 2x2).But it actually does because it still plays fine but I continually have to keep closing that pop up box each time. Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening? Also since I do use a second monitor for my video display, If I touch or click on anything on my computer while song is playing I lose the video on second display monitor (not good obviously). Any solution to this in current or future versions? The other request I have is that it would really be great if under options and midi device I could select more than one midi output.
The Midiman Midisport 2x2 has 2 midi outs A & B. I like to use the 16ch on A for my sound module for the music while using output B to control effects processors and lighting which I can put these commands in the midi file on the second bank of 16ch on B output without affecting the music on the A midi output. Any chance of doing this? One extra thought since I dont speak French it would be nice if the program and forums could automatically translate into English that way I could understand any error messages better and be able to read what everybody on the forum has to say. Thanks for listening and I'll be waiting for your response and for the new version as soon as it is ready. |

When an error message is displayed in french, it's the sign of a not catched error.
This specific error seems to occurs directly into the midi driver, outside the KaraFun software.
So the best thing is to try to ask for new drivers from Midiman. Sometimes, the firm is testing the karaoke product with the current drivers and find something that can be fixed.
(And of course, be sure that you have the latest drivers). |

Thanks for quick response. I went to Midiman's website and downloaded latest driver as you suggested but still no difference. The "Karafun Player"
box still pops up with the same error message as before. Also what help do you have to stop the karaoke video display on my second monitor disappearing if I try navigate any folders or do anything else on my computer while song is playing. The song keeps playing but I lose video on monitor. It minimizes down to the toolbar at bottom of main screen then I have to click on it to reopen it on second monitor screen.Any ideas? Also any chance of using A & B midi outputs at the same time in current or future versions? |

Not in the next version but maybe one day.
The best thing you can do is to contact M-Audio from their web site.
You should tell us that the latest driver seems to have a little problem with KaraFun and ask for a fix.
... So they will download and test KaraFun, agree (or not) with the problem, and maybe fix it!!
It seems that M-Audio have a great support. |

| Thanks jaile and rapidkiller for your replies. I contacted M-Audio and this is their reponse :"That sounds like a bug in the way their software accesses our driver Larry, I don’t think we can do anything about that." So I guess it's back to you guys.Although I think they are right because I use the midisport 2x2 with every other software on my computer with no problems at all. Plus the pop up box is a karafun player box, not a windows box. Also I went to the site suggested by rapidkiller and checked out my registry and found a duplicate midi registry for the midisport which I deleted one but it did not help.Still get error message.Any more ideas? If not how,how soon for new version release. Maybe the problem will be gone in new version. Soon I hope. I have an important show to do on Oct.7th so I need this resolved before then.I'll be waiting anxiously for your reply. Thanks again |
