Error: Serious BASS Error (2)

I have encountered a problem with Karafun I have this error when I try to open a song and playing a song on Karafun. It keeps on saying Error: Serious BASS Error (2) when that shows up I click ok, Etc. After clicking all of the popups, the program just becomes unactive, you can't press anything, then the program just crashes, is there a way to prevent it? I am using a Toshiba Laptop, will that change anything? Please help.

This problem is due to unicode filenames and directories. We worked hard to remove this limitation in KaraFun and this will be fixed in the next hotfix ( 1.17b ).
