| I am using my tv as an extra monitor, when i play cd+g i can see them on both screens yet when i play karaoke DVD i only see them on my pc monitor. I am using an ati graphics card with xp also iam using a yellow rca plug from my ati card to a video player then the video player into my tv, any ideas |

| yes thanks i already checked this but the display box comes up different with no way to change the output. my second monitor ie tv plays cd+g graphics great so i know its working but will not show karaoke dvd yet my pc monitor will display them. I have my ati catalyst control centre set to clone so both monitors show the same |

| I tried the karaoke dvd using a program called vlc media player and it showed them fine on both monitors |

VLC media player does not use standard directshow filters for dvd playback. That is the whole point of using VLC media player. It does this by circumventing the protection system.
KaraFun uses whatever DVD playback filter is installed on your system. It is probably this filter preventing you to output on both screens.

| thanks for that info, I installed the ffdshow codec but i now get a purple screen on second monitor when i play dvd's ,well at least is changed from black screen |

| I also retried using advanced karaoke player with the new codec u suggested and that worked great so hopefully your program karafun in the near future will be supported regards karl |
