Track volume becomes zero upon play

Hi, I'm running Windows Vista, which probably poses some compatibility problems, however I'm wondering why this occurs, and how I may fix it. Upon inserting an Audio CD into my drive (.CDA music files), Karafun reads it and displays it in the library. Then, I play a track, and it works perfectly, however, the 'Volume' bar in the 'Extra Tracks' section becomes zero, and the slider disappears. One song plays through perfectly at 100% volume. However, once playing the next track, the volume is at zero, with no way to raise it. This disables all playing of the tracks immediately after playing the first track.
