Hi,
We want to know if you are using Vista, and if KaraFun works fine on it.
We're doing our own tests here, but everything you'll say can be helpful.
Thank You. |

We are running Windows Vista on a separate Notebook. KaraFun does run, but we built a trailer with karafun (on Win XP) This Trailer does not run properly on Win Vista, looses some inbound animated grafics.
And running songs in Full screen mode sometimes songs stocks. This seems if there is not enough Memory, but this Notebook has more Memory than our desktop PC on Win XP, we have no idea on that problem with Vista. (This is not alonoe in karafun, in all other players as well but not with each song)
Regards
pepi
hope this information helps |

Hi,
I am running Vista on a brand new laptop, and so far KaraFun 1.16a runs fine, I just have 2 strange issues:
1) When playing back an XViD encoded AVI file, it does not display in KaraFun's own video window, in stead, a different window opened up titled "ActiveMovie Window". The video was shown, but it was playing WAY too fast. Could this be a codec problem?
2)The MIDI-Out selection has been removed, and in Windows Vista you can no longer select a MIDI-Out port for the system, so this has to be put back in KaraFun itself. |

Hi All
I'm still having problems running with Vista Home Premium.
Like Peppi, I find that audio playback breaks-up and stutters. The PC I use is a Compaq 1.7 Dual Core processor with 1Gb RAM (only 3 month old)
I agree with Rovingcowboy that running on XP or below is perfect. The problem I have is that all new PCs are now sold with Vista installed and no other option. With the Compaq laptop Vista is pre-installed and there is no option for a different operating system. I would change to XP myself but when I contacted the Manufacturer they ONLY provide drivers for Vista.
Look forward to your comments

tiger direct dot com still had winXp cdroms for sale.
they also have computers you can buy with other os's preinstalled on.
i am sure the mac store does not sale windows vista.
but most the people making pc's have a contract with microsoft
to only sale the newest os'
they don't even admit you can buy the winXp version which by the way will run smoother on the vista machine from what i
read in some other forums.

This is a problem that will be solved in the next version. Right now you can avoid this bug by running in administrator mode. XP compatibility mode may also work. |

HI!
When I start a number you are Window Media Player, Karafun... (*mid, *.kar), starts ripping then the number.
What may be the problem?

incase you did not get the last two windows fantics news letters from lockergnome.
there were lots of comments about what vista is like.
most are saying that vista has trouble starting other programs up in the background when you are doing something else.
you don't want it to run that other program and when you close
what you are doing you find the other program is running.
with wmp 11 i have found the above also happens on win XP Pro
and they are saying the native driver support is almost none at all in vista, so a lot of your vista errors just might be vista its self. _________________ roving cowboy / keith hall.

|
I have a Desktop PC with XP and it runs just fine but in my new laptop with Vista Home Premium the audio playback "breaks-up and stutters".
If I run the same mp3 in Windows Media Player it sounds perfect. I download the "Power Cdg Filter for Window MP" and it turns that now the sound its worst than Karafun!!
Please let me know when you have a workaround.
Thanks! |
