I upgraded from v.1.01b (1.01-3-F build 182) to v1.10a (1.10-2 build 1027) and it won't play CDG + mp3 files. These files were ripped from CD+G CDs and worked with the older version.
So, I returned to v.1.01b and I can play them again. Please explain why an upgrade cannot play files that an older version can. There appear to be no problems with 1.10a playing *.kar and *.mid files but then again so can 1.01b...
The advantages of the upgrade do not appear to be obvious.
Thank you |

It's very strange, and certainly due to a specific CDG file.
Can you send it to our support ? (support@karafun.com) |

| It's definitely NOT due to a specific CDG file. It won't play any of them |

Most of our users plays CDG files. And we test a lot of them regularly.
That's why I'm saying that it's strange and maybe a 'local' problem.
When you say that it won't play the files, can you be more specific ?
Does the music play without graphic displaying, or displaying without music ?
Or anything else ? |

| The library window showsthe tracks but when I click on a track to load it, it shows the name of the track as it scrolls across the screen but does not start the file. If I press <PLAY> there is no change. It loads but does not play |

Can you describe your PC configuration ? (RAM, CPU, Windows version, Graphic Card, etc.)
Are you sure there are both CDG and MP3 files ? |

Hewlett-Packard Compaq NX9105
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ / 1.8 GHz
512 MB of RAM
1x60 GB Hard Drive
SoundMAX Sound Card
DVD+RW Player/Burner
There are definitely both CDG and mp3 files. As I said, I can play them on the older version but not the new one |
